Overnight in Lima
We advise that volunteers arrive into Lima the day before their start date. You can arrange to stay overnight in a hotel of your choice, rest and shower before taking the bus to Huaraz the following day.
You can stay at any hotel in Lima. We have two recommendations from past volunteers; Insights Hostel, which is close to the airport or Red Psycho Llama Hostel which is in Miraflores in the city centre. Both can be seen also on TripAdvisor.
If you are landing late then it may be best to stay closer to the airport for convenience, but if you would prefer to explore Lima a little then Miraflores is a great location for this.
Most hotels with offer airport pickup and/or bus station transfer as a service, you should contact them directly to arrange this. Alternatively there is an airport express bus service to Miraflores which may be cheaper.

For stays of less than 183 days a visa is not required in advance, you can get a free visa on arrival at the airport. For a full list of countries where a visa is not required please see; www.conperlondres.com/Html_Files/VISAS/tourist_visa.htm
